Mirla Soto
Mirla Soto, Venezuelan, was born in San Juan de Colón, Táchira, on August 5, 1970. She studied at the "Cristóbal Rojas" School of Visual Arts in Caracas. She had worked for twenty years at the Sofía Imber Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas and at the Ministry of Culture. She has participated in multiple art exhibitions in Venezuela, Spain, Houston, Italy, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico. Represented in Museo di Arte Contemporánea de Cacerta, Naples, Italy; In the Venezuela catalog of Luciano Benetton Collection Imago Mundi Project; In the collection of works of art of Fondazione Luciano Benetton, Italy; at the Frida Kahlo Gallery in Sinaloa Mexico; At the Castilian and Leonese Institute of the Language of Burgos, Spain. The most important individual exhibitions: Beyond Words, Painting, Burgos, Spain; Emotions, Caracas; Blue ... Meeting, Caracas; Found Universes, Caracas; Puertas del Ávila, Caracas; Smells like coffee, Ciudad Bolívar. Founding President of AMOJ, Community of Women Artists of Venezuela. It belongs to the Caracas Drawing Circle. Curator and promoter of art in multiple exhibition events held, nationally and internationally and is Professor of drawing and painting.
