María José Da Silva

She studied Pure Art, Mention Drawing and Painting, School of Plastic Arts Cristóbal Rojas, Caracas; Graphics Workshop, Experimental Pedagogical University Libertador, Caracas. She participated in several collective and individual exhibitions at national and international level since 1977 and has been deserving of several awards and recognitions among them: Special mention, Prefecture of Sucre District, 1998; Special Mention, XVII Painting and Sculpture Hall, College of Engineers of Venezuela, 1991; First Prize, XVIII Painting and Sculpture Hall, Colegio Ingenieros de Venezuela, 1992; Honorable Mention of Painting, IV National Hall of Visual Arts, Francisco Lazo Martí House of Culture, 1992; II Honorable Mention of Painting, IV National Hall of Visual Arts, Francisco Lazo Martí House of Culture, 1993; Special Mention, Prefecture of Sucre District, 1998.
