Sylvia Sapene

Venezuelan plastic artist who has carried out her artistic studies since 1960 where she began painting at school with the Rda. Hma. Assumption; In 1963 to 1965, painting with Prof. Jacobo Herranz; In 1967-68, free drawing at the Cristobal Rojas School of Fine Arts with Prof. Luis Domínguez Salazar; 1981-82, painting in the workshop of the painter Ramon Rivas Rivas; 1986, painting in the workshop of Prof. Josefina Castellanos; 1992-95, at the Puerto Azul Club with Prof. Manuel Finol. Among his individual exhibitions we highlight: 2009, ¨Diablos, reflejos y vivencias¨. Carlos Otero Room, Club Puerto Azul; 2010, "Landscapes of my land" Carlos Otero Room, Club Puerto Azul. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions and among them we highlight: Shell Art Salon, 1967-1969; Annual Painting Salon of the Guaira Chamber of Commerce: from 1994 to 1998; ¨ FAUNA AND FLORA EMBLEMATICAS DE LOS ESTADOS DE VENEZUELA¨, Multiple Use Room of the Andrés Bello Catholic University, 2017. It has been worthy of the following recognitions: 1967, 2nd. Shell Art Salon Award; 1995, 3rd. ¨Cámara de Comercio de la Guaira¨ Award; 2007, 1st. ¨Carlos Otero Salon¨ Award; 2008, 2nd. Award ¨Carlos Otero´´ Hall; 2011, 3rd. ¨Carlos Otero Salon¨ Award; 2017, 2nd. Carlos Otero Salon Award.
